ABOUT THE COLLECTION
This design was inspired by the Egyptian collar known as “wesekh” or “weskhet”. Instead of using tubes in horizontal layers, we used our core technique of hand-stitching seed beads into a black felt cloth. According to Egyptian mythology, the “wesekh” collar was the favoured adornment of gods and pharaohs, thus we named the collection after the ancient Egyptian feline goddess, Bastet.
