Crystals and Linking

I haven’t done some serious bead linking for a while but in the process of making new accessories for Ms. Jean Garcia, I got to do so again. Here are some of the pieces we made for her which she will be wearing in the next episodes of Personalan. We can’t wait to see what outfits she’ll pair these accessories with!- PJV

Crystal galore chandelier and stud earrings and bracelets

In the meantime we’ve come up with a selection of wardrobes; from flirty sheer chiffon and printed dresses, elegant gowns, and casual jumpsuits and rompers to pair these swanky baubles with.

Style Tips:

1) Chandelier earrings are a great way to add sophistication to your overall outfit. Let the iridescent quality of the crystals work their charm to highlight your face.

2) It is best to wear your chandeliers when your hair is pulled up or if you have short hair.

3) Wear a set of bracelets and earrings. Choose a balanced set.

4) Coordinate your accessories.  For prints, pair them with subtle extras.

5) Drop earrings and a touch of gold accessories can take you from casual to black tie.

Up Close and Personal Take 2

Artists come and go in the world of show business. Not all can survive the dog-eat-dog world of the entertainment industry and some could barely sustain their careers as the public shifts their eyes to a younger generation, but for Jean Garcia, her passion for acting has its own rewards. At the age of 42, she is still a familiar face on local television and the big screen, winning  the 2012 9th Golden Screen Awards for Best Performance by an Actress in a leading role, for the film "Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa" for Cinemalaya.

Jean Garcia has been around local showbiz for more than a decade. You may remember her as one of the young and budding artists gracing That's Entertainment's Tuesday group during the late 80s to early 90s. She bagged her first starring role at age 17 for the movie "Impaktita", but Jean is best remembered for her antagonistic role as "Madame Claudia" in 2000 for the TV Drama "Pangako sa Iyo". You might also remember her being the cover model of FHM's October 2008, making heads turn her way.

Ali Sotto: Up Close And Personal With Palamuti

On the third week of August, GMA News Tv 11’s veteran host Ali Sotto will be wearing one of our Amatullah Necklaces in the next episodes of “Personalan,” the new drama talk show that features restrained confrontations and real-life issues between different people.

When Ali saw the bibs, she loved the necklace and appreciated the craftsmanship behind the pieces. The first necklace Ali will be wearing is the Amatullah 2 that is deliberately handstitched and polished. This piece, as well as its other counterparts in the collection, took 6 days (eight hours straight each day) to finish.

Ali will also be wearing Amatullah 1, a special design that is detailed with geometric shapes figures and interesting colors.

When it comes to accessorizing for her shows, Ali swore by her taste for simple yet classy statement pieces. Most of the items she adores are long necklaces and butterfly accents. Since we at Palamuti specialize on custom-made accessories, we have been given the opportunity to show her a variety of our collections. Among the selections is The Amatullah Collection which is a set of big bib necklaces characterized by colorful geometric patterns that were prevalent as Islamic decorations dating back from various early cultures like Greek, Roman, Asian, and Persian. Local artisan PJ Valenciano was very much fascinated by these artful figures that she incorporated them to her works.

Palamuti by PJ Valenciano will be releasing the full Amatullah Collection on September 2011. The collection was inspired by Geometric Islamic Patterns. Watch Personalan on GMA News Tv to see Ali wearing our necklaces.
