Basics of Wearing Earrings

From the time human civilization thought of wearing jewelries as a way to enhance appearance, connote wealth and status, or simply to make oneself feel beautiful; earrings are a quintessential part of a woman’s jewelry collection. Earrings can be simple enough to be worn on a daily basis, or be an ornate piece to complete your wardrobe on a special occasion. How you choose your earrings are based on several factors which range from the clothes that you intend to match your earrings with, the occasion it’s intended for, and most importantly the size and shape of your face. Here are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to choosing what sort of earrings to wear.
Firstly, determine what sort of occasion you plan to wear the earrings for. This should be able to narrow down your selection. Is it a somber occasion, a formal affair, or an important business meeting? For such occasions, it may be best to choose earrings that are not too inconspicuous. Simple earrings such as studs or metal and stone studded earrings might be the choice for you. Boisterous occasions such as parties and social gatherings give leeway for more fashion statement-type of earrings. Bring out long or large earrings when it comes to these types of events.
The shape of your face, hairstyle, and even your overall build are also important issues to consider when it comes to picking the perfect earrings to wear. Depending on what earrings you choose, these aspects determine whether your appearance is complemented or spoiled.   For example, if you have a long face it best to wear chandelier earrings, while oval faces suit almost any type of earrings. Rectangular shaped faces should wear hoop or round earrings to balance out the angles of your face. We will delve deeper into more details in our next post focusing on earrings and face shape.
Another thing to consider is your complexion. The purpose of wearing accessories in general is to highlight your features and skin color is no exception. Remember that when choosing a pair of earrings which includes structure and color, it should complement your complexion as well.
