Bastet Necklace Paired with Top Suggestions

The design on this hand-stitched necklace is inspired by the Egyptian collar known as “wesekh”. Instead of using tubes in horizontal layers, we used our core technique of hand-stitching seed beads into a black felt cloth. We used multiple colors such as; gold, black, gray, blue, and green on the patterns for this collection of necklaces. Each of these necklaces is meticulously hand-stitched by skilled artisans, as can be seen on the tightness of the beads stitching on black felt cloth. We made use of a rhodium chain as an enclosure to finish off the necklaces.

According to Egyptian mythology, the “wesekh” collar was the chosen adornment of the gods and pharaohs, thus we named the collection after the ancient Egyptian feline goddess, Bastet. Here some suggestions on some outfits that you can pair your “Bastet” necklace with.

Nineties Flashback: The Blouse Clip

The blouse clip was a popular accessory back in the nineties. A client of ours requested that we make some for her. The main use for the blouse clip is to adjust the fit of your blouse. A well placed blouse clip will help you accentuate your curves and incorporate a stunning visual outfit to spice up your look. With a stitching technique, we made a royal blue and black flower design to top off this blouse clip.
If you have a loose blouse at hand, for example if you’ve lost some weight, one of the best ways to make it fit your figure is to have it adjusted by a tailor. A blouse clip is an inexpensive alternative, to achieve the same effects as garment alteration, plus you veer away from the risk of ruining the blouse permanently.
The blouse clip can be a very versatile accessory. You can use it to highlight and accentuate a dress that’s very uncooperative. A scarf that hangs a little too much can be pinned into place with a blouse clip. With a little creativity and imagination, the multipurpose aspect of the blouse clip is a very potent addition to your fashion repertoire.

FYI: A pantone is a standardized set of colors defined by a number. Pantones are used for printing and graphic design, and each number and color can be located in a pantone swatch book.

If you’re worried about the expenses entailed by scrapping your wardrobe and buying new clothes to suite these new pantones, there’s actually no need to do so. Costume jewelries are a very versatile element in your wardrobe for a number of reasons. Mainly, they are readily available and in terms of the design, there are endless pieces to choose from. Earrings, necklaces, bangles, and brooches are just some of staples of costume jewelry.
