Simplified Bead Jewelry Necklaces
Most of our beaded jewelry are statement pieces, which in all honesty, can be challenging to match. Which is true even with daily or casual wardrobe. As such, we've been designing bead jewelry pieces that are more apt to be worn to a day at the office, or with casual outfits inspired by our statement bead jewelry pieces. You can wear them with your favorite plain tops and collared blouses. These pieces will effortlessly give accent to casual or office attires.

Beading Clothes
The core technique used in making our accessories is bead embroidery. Some of our clients kindly asked us to do some on their clothes. The first project that we worked on was for a wedding, wherein we stitched beads on the flower girls' gowns. It was followed by a restyled blazer, coupled with this white blouse.
You can breathe life into old or boring clothes just by adding some beadwork. You don't have to invest in buying new beads, as you can reuse parts from old accessories. You can apply lace appliques, to add drama and flair to your clothes.

Restyled Scarves
Restyling and reusing beads from old accessories challenge us. We enjoy making new pieces from old, almost forgotten, materials and we try to take them to the next level. In our previous post, we featured restyled necklaces. This time, we got our hands on old scarves and had them embellished to give them a new look.

Saving by Restyling Old Accessories
The Christmas Season is over and you're probably finding ways to save on your budget for a wardrobe update. There's no need to worry, because there are ways to start the new year right, without spending a fortune.
We do more than sell accessories
to our clients. We also provide suggestions on how to maximize the use of
accessories, and if they're on a budget, we suggest reusing beads and stones
since you can always restyle them into new and interesting pieces.

Original Necklace |
Our first restyled accessory for this year is a simple necklace with stones stringed on black nylon. We
created two new necklaces by separating green and brown stones.

The main
technique used for both necklaces is called wire-art. We balanced the use of acrylic
beads and mother of pearl shells to create a simple yet sophisticated design.
The next time you are itching to spend a shiny penny, and hoard new accessories, think again. Here are some cool projects you can work on! Awaken your creative side and create art by recycling, repurposing and restyling.

Saving by Re-Purposing and Restyling
Would you believe that the flower accent on mys sister's hairpiece used to be a brooch?
Do
you splurge away paycheck after paycheck on shopping for the latest clothes and
accessories? I used to be one too. Every pay day, I’d like to reward myself for
days of being cooped up in a cubicle; and the best therapy for me was: SHOPPING!
There was a time when my closet was bursting at the seams with so many things. In
retrospect, I exhibited a consumer-driven lifestyle which was, I realized, a
failed attempt to fulfill a void of discontent.
Eventually,
I realized that shopping for new items every now and then was not the answer.
Of course, for a girl who loves dressing up, I still shop from time to time,
but now I geared towards common sense and practicality, rather than impulses. I’ve
since learned the principle of restyling and re-purposing “old” articles of clothing
to fashion accessories.
Another set of re-purposed accessories. All pendants for these necklaces used to be brooches.
Practical Tip: Keep your box of accessories up to date without having
to spend too much money. Think twice before throwing away your old accessories. You can always have them restyled.
Re-purposing
has its own perks. First, you get to save and keep your money for the rainy
days. Second, you are doing the planet a
favor. If you choose to recycle and re-purpose products made of raw materials
from our natural resources, you are helping preserve the environment. Conscious
consumerism can make a difference. Third, restyling can be an outlet for creativity
and a platform to convey your own unique sense of style.- PJV

Treasure in Loose Materials
Over the years of making accessories, we have accumulated excess materials from previous projects. We make it our personal motto not to throw away materials so that they're available for future use. Sometimes new designs present themselves from these loose materials.
This necklace belonged to our Teardrops Collection for 2011. We gathered loose materials in hues of brown, orange and pink. Using wiring we bunched the loose beads to form the main design of this necklace. The materials used were shells, murano, mother of pearl and agate stones.
In making this fabric-felt cuff, we used the remaining laces from our lace wrapped bangle collection. Since we had a lot of gem-like craft beads at our disposal, we used them to decorate this cuff.
This piece, Letters to Calypso, is a combination of wax thread, assorted German Crystals and seed beads. We have been stocking the wax thread for a long a time while the assorted German Crystals on the other hand were from a previous project.
And our Stillness of the Butterfly cuffs and necklaces continue to be our bestseller even after a year of its release.
Before buying new materials, we try our best to make the best use of
materials on hand, especially in creating new collections. With a pinch
of resourcefulness and imagination, new designs are born. Share your new treasures with us. Leave a link to your blog and let's share ideas!

Guess what, you can also create new accessories from old ones. You can increase the longevity and usefulness
of materials lying around.
