This Flowerfly Necklace
is designed by Kriz, our 23 year-old hearing-impaired artisan, who hails from
Bulan, Sorsogon. She came to us as a
natural born artist, and was assigned to make complicated and high-level
technique pieces in just short amount of time. Her hearing disability prevents
her from getting traditional working opportunities, until she was referred to
us by her sister Liza, who best knew her artistic side, to become one of Palamuti artisans. Her dream is to be
able to help and support her family, and to someday provide a better life for all
of them.
