Harry Potter Inspired Pieces

"I had been writing almost continuously since the age of six but I had never been so excited about an idea before. I simply sat and thought, for four (delayed train) hours, and all the details bubbled up in my brain, and this scrawny, black-haired, bespectacled boy who did not know he was a wizard became more and more real to me."
J.K. Rowling, Author of Harry Potter

Harry Potter, a seven series fantasy novel, gained popularity among children and adults. Last January, we were commissioned by Abi of The Tale of Sugar and Flour to make new accessories, with a Harry Potter theme. The first piece was predominantly made with faux pearls on pendants with Harry Potter Book photos. We used glazing on the pendants, and instead of using pre-made metal frames, we attached the photos on felt and surrounded it with acrylic crystals.

The second piece was inspired by Bea's Bird Necklace. Abi, being a Harry Potter fan, asked us to make a Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix inspired neck piece. We used bead embroidery to execute this design.
